Moving to Montana allowed me to relive my childhood in the Sierra Mountains near Soda Springs, CA. Wanting to start a new series of iconic images that represent the beauty and wildlife that is only found here.
Starting with the mountains, birds and the wildflowers that cover the trails in spring and summer near Whitefish. Such as Bear Grass, wild flowers, the amazing night skies have captured my heart.
These two painting are oil on Canvas. 24 x 48” that now in our home.
I am researching another set of iconic images to show another aspect of Montana. Maybe a winter setting, fall leaves and larch trees. Any ideas let me know.
